Another blazing day. A lighter delivery load, so a opportunity to enjoy the spring/summer colours and patterned shadows.

Sun blazing as we whip through a Saturday delivery.
Sad to learn of the passing of a lady I deliver to in Gladstone Street. I was concerned she wasn’t well but hadn’t imagined she was that unwell. Grateful to the neighbour who informed me. A beautiful, same age as me, lady, who had a warm welcoming smile. Reminded of life’s brutalities.

Another cooler, overcast day. Occasional spitty spatters of almost rain. In the flatter light the colours of the blooms really stood out from the green. Particularly struck by this delicate two toned honeysuckle in Earlham Road and these muscular orangey poppies.
Working with a chilled colleague Ellie, so a relaxing day’s work.

A cooler chilly post bank holiday day. Noticing all the bloomed filled bushes, by colour and by scent.
A full year since I started Walk 202, I remember being delighted to find this Californian Lilac in West Pottergate, as one of favourites from walk 206. Enjoying it again this year, such beautiful cascading delicate purple colour.
Many paths and gates becoming plant filled and having to duck/ dive and circumvent to avoid becoming ensnared.

A return to work after a couple of weeks absence.
All the trees and blooms are full out and it feels like summer. Glad to be back in a familiar routine and seeing all my customers.

After a week of sun the blossom trees are starting to bloom and green budding growth is filling the trees.
Not quite as warm and sunny today, but still very pleasant to be out delivering parcels and mail.
Hoorah for the spring.

A wet start to the morning delivering. Temperatures have risen, so stayed comfortable. Spring approaching, ever more in evidence. A glistening bowl of daffodils in Avenue Road and new pink leafed growth emerging.
A lighter Monday, so time to notice and enjoy.

Cold, again, thermals, hat, gloves necessary. A little more overcast with the sun trying to peek through.
Loved this reflection of trees in my wing mirror in Chester Place.
A selection of delivery montages from the start of 2025
