Today: Double mail on the first walk, every call again with the Council Tax letters, but not too many parcels. Daffodils are looking perky throughout the walk.

Almost manage to delivery everything with in the time. A long days walking.

Today: A busyness of mothers day parcels and cards. Enjoyed all the different ways people addressed their mother. Jealous of “xxx most wonderful mother xxxx” and intrigued by To Moth. An in joke ? or a distracted writer who forgot the er. Noticing reds and yellows out on delivery. Spring feels here despite the overcast weather.

Out in Delivery: Wed 15 Mar

Today: A beautiful door in Mount Pleasant: Exciting stamps on a special delivery.

I arrive to a mountain of mail waiting on my sorting frame. Council tax letters for every address.

The sun shines and we stay cheerful managing to deliver all of 206 and the parcels on 211.

Out on Delivery: Tue 14 Mar

Today: Blue skied blossom, Newmarket Road: Leaves, Launceston Terrrace: Milk bottles, Harford Manor School: Delivery Montage 14/03/23

More mail and packets that we can deliver in time, having to re-jiggle as we go along, trying to go as fast as possible.

So stressed that, when I ring a customers bell quickly after knocking on the door and they answer with a cheery “oh in a hurry today ?” I feel like shouting “We are always in a f****** hurry”. Manage to laugh politely but the job is not so fun when we feel like we are constantly failing. Not so great for customers either.

The light today is amazing, I love March shadows.

Out on Delivery: Mon 13 Mar

A windy morning delivering. Debris strewn streets and falling branches. Heavier than usual for a Monday delivery, water bills and gardening catalogues bulking up the mail. Council tax letters arrival hanging over the week.

Out on Delivery: Sat 11 Mar

Today: Colourful blooms and the van reflection in the black gate of 43 Mount Pleasantly

Another busy day delivery. A frosty start which quickly turned into a sunny spring morning. Having to prioritise the delivery in order to get it completed.

A super enthusiastic greeting for Kelly from Bruce on Phillipa Flowerday Way, he loves his dog treats.

Out on Delivery: Fri 10 Mar

Today: Puddle reflection, Hornor Close: Snow, 17a Lime tree Rd: Red paint, Newmarket Rd: Car reflection, Newmarket Rd: Delivery Montage 8

Today was all about the weather. A dismal forecast of sleet and high winds meant we headed out kitted out. Full waterproofs and a cap to keep glasses dry. It was sleeting from the beginning of the delivery, but by the time we were in Lime tree rd it was full on snowing. I could hear the snow crease under my feet.

Temporarily everything went white, but quickly melted and the sun came out and pavements were drying by the end of the delivery.

Out on Delivery: Wed 8 Mar

Today: Reflection and blooms

A larger Wednesday delivery. Lots of large parcels. The weather is cold and the sleet forecast yesterday arrives today. My fingers are cracked due to the cold, I cover the cracks with plasters and have to type with my middle finger.

The walk revisions are posted in the office, we have an additional fourteen streets added to our walk. A walk we are barely managing to complete in time currently. Difficult to not feel despondent. Morale in office is low.

Out on Delivery: Tue 7 Mar

Today: Blooms, Lime tree Road: New road marking, Church Avenue: Sky, Newmarket Road.

More news about revisions to walks delivered in a meeting around the sorting frame. Going to be a resign, everyone re choosing (in order of seniority) which walk they want to do. Being low down the list I may find myself no longer on Walk 206. Contemplating this makes me see the walk with new eyes.

Plenty to deliver and deeply grateful that the weather is drier than predicted.
