Walk 206: Tuesday 14th June

Today: I imagine the happy, now collarless, cat each time I pass this collar in Mount Pleasant: Purple flowers: Wild strawberries, Ipswich Road: Dandelions.

Today: I imagine the happy, now collarless, cat each time I pass this collar in Mount Pleasant: Purple flowers: Wild strawberries, Ipswich Road: Dandelions.

Today: Always inspired by the plants that manage to thrive in the cracks and edges, Allen’s Lane: A tight turn in The plantation alway brings me up close to this hedge: Fun geometry and shadows at this beautiful doorstep in Christchurch Road: Lush flower in church avenue: Road works in Ipswich road mean an excitement of pavement markings have appeared.
A lighter and Sunny day delivering. A fresh breeze keeping the walking bearable. A switching of delivering order to minimise road work disruption and traffic queues.

Today: Poppies in Cambridge Street: Bus stop as I emerge from 97 Newmarket Road: Flowers The Cedars: My favourite set of flowers, they make me smile each time I arrive at this address in Lime tree road.
Finally a lighter days delivery, kept fresh by running the walk backwards and enhanced by the beautiful sunny weather.

Today: An overwhelment of parcels to deliver (Bank holiday hang over): Damp leaves dripping: orange flowers in Lime tree road: white painted tree roots Newmarket road: Thunder clouds build.
A damp, hot, busy day. Just managed to finish, after Six hours walking (17km) before the thundery rain arrived.

Today: A rose surrounded doorway in Allens’s Lane which smelt heavenly and bee hummed gently: A breeze rustling lawn in Church Avenue and a mottled shadow: Splendid tree shadows: Surreal bubbles in Mount Pleasant: Bunting shadows from Laurel Lodge railings.
A heavy day’s delivering with seventeen special deliveries across the walk and a need to finish on time. Further aggravations with more of Ipswich being closed to traffic and forgotten drinks and snack. All mitigated by the glorious weather, clear strong sunlight with dark shadows. Heady flowery scent greeted me at many calls. We pushed hard and made it in time for the appointment.

today: raindrops collecting in foliage: A caterpillar sheltering under a step: glistening raindrops in a bush.
A damp start to the week, a light days delivery (typical Monday). A closed road, glinting bushes, soggy jubilee bunting and puddles characterised the day.

Today: I enjoy the verdant velvet finish on this lampost: spotty leaves catch my eye: A self reflection selfie taken at Musley court.
A heavy day, plenty of parcels, magazines and mail. Ideal walking weather, but legs stiff after taking a run on thursday. Noticeably more people away than usual, I have to work hard to get neighbours to take in parcels.

Today: a favourite moment enjoying the shadows of the laundry room out pipes at The Cedars: a return to Arundel Court, a parcel to deliver, I enjoy the colours and distortions thro the glass doors: as I leave Arundel court I catch a new moment between two toby jugs sat on a window cill.
A not quite raining, not quite not raining, not busy, not not busy Tuesday delivery. Enjoying the quietness of the half term traffic.

Today: Perfect weather for Posties. Flowers and fruit on Plantsman’s Close: More insect dots and a splendid bush on Newmarket Road.
