Out on Delivery: Wed 29 Mar

Today: Magnolia’s are starting to unfurl and several blossom trees on the delivery now in full bloom.

Double pre on walk 211. Stimulating to be doing different but another hard day in which I have to push hard to get everything delivered. Dis heartened by the knowledge of all the mail that didn’t get delivered on the other half of the walk.

Warmer and less damp.

Please to connect together a customer that my husband works with, who I have chatted to out of work but hadn’t realised was this customer. I seem to recognise people by their houses and doorways and find it hard to recognise people when away from work.

Out on Delivery: Fri 24 Mar

Today: Day felt good, not only was the sun shining and the weather mild but we managed for the first time all week to deliver everything on our frames. Blossom is starting to bloom and the dappling March sunlight created joyful moments around every corner.

Out on Delivery: Thu 23 Mar

Today: A return to work after three days holiday. A sunny start to the day, noticing all the new pinks. I caught three reflections, in the lift in Royal Arch court, the lift in Alexandra court and in the corner mirror at the delivery office.

A temporary replacement van as our van is off for repairs after being in an altercation with a wall, whilst I was on holiday. I enjoy the smaller more manoeuvrable van and I am in a sunny mood all day.

Out on Delivery: Sat 11 Mar

Today: Colourful blooms and the van reflection in the black gate of 43 Mount Pleasantly

Another busy day delivery. A frosty start which quickly turned into a sunny spring morning. Having to prioritise the delivery in order to get it completed.

A super enthusiastic greeting for Kelly from Bruce on Phillipa Flowerday Way, he loves his dog treats.

Out on Delivery: Wed 25 Jan

Today: Manhole cover, Newmarket Rd: Pavement markings: Green and yellow, Ipswich rd: Green wall, Brunswick rd.

A misty, damp, in a cloud day. Noticing colours, water board blue, lichen greens and yellows and rich damp green moss. A steady mornings delivery.

Out on Delivery: Thu 19 Jan

Today, A tale of light and shadow: Sunlight and shadow through frost: Entranceway, Newmarket Rd, Approach, Newmarket rd

Another bitterly cold morning delivering. Long shadows creating magic moments through the morning.

Out on Delivery : Tue 17 Jan

Today: Frost on van: Reflected light shadow, Benjamin Gooch Way: Frosty post, Newmarket Rd: Ice, Harford Manor Rd.

An exciting day, the first day driving a brand new electric vehicle. A cold start (-4 degrees) which meant working out how to defrost the new van. The sun shone all day but still feeling cold at the end of the delivery. Roads quiet and new van quiet.

Out on Delivery: Sat 10 Dec

Today: Frosty leaves and spiders webs

A very cold day, off to a difficult start as it took three turns of the yard to locate my van (which has just been changed). All the numbers obscured in the heavy frost, too cold for anyone to bother to quip “it’s the red one”.

Frosty leaves were beautifully white edged and sharded spiders webs were visible. So cold that I finished cold despite the thermal layers, hat, neck warmer and extra Jumper. Starting to deliver Christmassy looking parcels and plenty of cards.
