Another chilli start to a warm spring day. Sun breaking through creating great foliage shadows. New growth becoming established and all is filling with colour.

A second morning adjusting to new delivery office layout. Break the news to more of my customers that I am changing walks. A sad feeling hung over my day.

A damp busy Wednesday. The morning began with heavy rain but it lifted into occasional drizzle.

Enjoyed this two tone heather in Plantsman’s Close and the scent of this Japanese Skimmia in Lime tree road was delightful. A bright shock of orange blooms on this Darwins Barberry caught my eye.

Colours abound, now it is not just isolated spots of colour by whole gardens zing with yellow blooms of various sizes.

In Plantsman’s close I find some yellow pom pom blooms and I am caught by red unfurling foliage in Ipswich Road.

Driving home I notice some of the larger trees now have green leaves starting to transform the trees.

A dry, warmer day. A little sun here and there. Blossom trees are really looking amazing.

Showered with blossom as we work in Mount Pleasant. Small white snow like petals flitter down. Such a quick and transient season spring.

Still delivery council tax letters, water bills and tax reminders.

A rudeness of day, it rained, drizzled and damped unstintingly in wintery type temperatures. Finished the walk cold and demoralised.

Luckily the flowers and garden were there to cheer and birds sang unstintingly despite the rain !!

I got caught photographing this purple edged leafed bush by my customer who was sitting in her car watching me!! I also couldn’t resist rephotographing this clematis in Mount Pleasant which is so very exquisite.

Another beautiful spring day. We have three of us and we zip through the delivery despite a heavy delivery day with water bills, mother’s day cards and presents.

I enjoy the shadows of the Bossier’s glory-of-the-snow, the play of light through the doors in Arundel Court, and the crocuses

Out on Delivery: Fri 8 Mar

A glory of a spring day, a Japanese Pieris with little translucent dots inside, a Bossiers glory-of-the-snow catching the sunlight in Newmarket Road and a the magnificent plum tree at 97 glowing in the sunlight.

Perfect conditions to cover the 20k needed to deliver all the mail today on walks 206 and 211. Finished on time 🙂

A temporary return to drizzle today. Shaun gallantly cycles out with my forgotten (partially)waterproof jacket.

More brown council envelopes land on our frames today lowering the mood. Mother’s day on the horizon so expecting a busy end of week.

Noticing all the new growth and the progress of the japonica at 51 Mount Pleasant.
