Out on Delivery Fri 23 Aug

A surreal day delivering. Tumble weed amassed at a call in Earlham Rd. A brazen banana basking on the pavement in Stafford Street. A beautiful once-was trail in Earlham Rd.

The weather, wet, chilly and windy to start but hot, clear skied and still by the close of play.

Out on Delivery: Wed 21 Aug

A pink Wednesday, a softer summers day, a pleasure to be out delivering. Enjoying working with my new colleague Peaches and I enjoy the day despite the heavy work load.

Self reflection taken in Earlham road and this most exquisite rose was found in the most unpromising location.

Out on Delivery: Mon/Tue 20/21 Aug

A return to work after a two week holiday. All the overexcitable foliage, nettles and brambles have been sun shrivelled and the grass yellow and burnt making the going much faster.

Still numerous summery blooms to be seen and smelt. A wild and summery garden filled with creamed pincushion caught the feeling of the day.

Hot still but a noticeably gentler sun.

Out on Delivery: Fri 2 Aug

Another muggy hot sweaty day delivering. Three in the van, we got it all delivered in a slick of sweat.

Air totally still, possibly the most uncomfortable day delivering of the year.

Blooms glowing and shadows abound.

Out on Delivery: Tue/Wed 24/25 Jul

Summery hot weather, working with new colleagues.

I hope I have remembered to remind them of all the tricky addresses as I send them off on their unseen loops. Always forgetting a few.

Gardens are looking full and splendid around the whole delivery. A few addresses are increasingly hard to access with overgrown bushes and pathways. Thorns, brambles and stinging nettles lurk in the foliage.

Out on Delivery: Fri 19 July

Hot hot hot. Sunny. Hot. Needed to buy cold drinks from a deliciously air conditioned local store mid way through.

Loved these two ripe red strawberries sat on a humble windowsill in Mill Hill Road.

Out on Delivery: Wed 17 July

After finishing yesterday’s delivery cold and wet today started with full sunshine. The sun hat was back out the bag.

We had double mail to delivery, as I had covered both walks on Tuesday, so heavy bags and plenty of walking.

These poppies on Stafford Street stood out, I love their scruff happenstance energy and their delicate vulnerability.

Out on Delivery: Mon 15 July

A sunny lighter delivery day so a little space inside it to enjoy noticing all the summer blooms popping with colour. Fairly warm but a fresh gentle breeze keeps the day perfect for delivering mail.

No selfie in lift as I meet an ex postie, Tom, now DPD delivery guy in the lift and have a quick chat.
