Today: foggy windscreen, first frost, emptying trees.
A chilly start to a sunny mornings delivery. A panic search for the one o’clock specials which resolved itself. A beautiful morning.

Today: Fabulous colours Benjamin Gooch Way: Foliage and shadow, 7 Paxton Place: Shade of green fig, Church Avenue East: Leaf, Ipswich Grove: Leaf, Grove Avenue.
A return from another strike day. Again it felt like a Monday. The most beautiful balmy morning that took a nasty, unexpectedly wet turn in the middle. Caught out without a rain coat. Apprehensive as to what tomorrow will bring…

Today: 98 Newmarket Rd: 115 Newmarket Rd: 7 Plantsman Close: Limetree road: Ipswich Grove
My eyes are on the leaves today, a glorious range of colours and a damp misty day to enjoy them in. Feeling dislocated in time since we were on strike the office has a Monday flavour, everyone fresh and rested.
Working with a different colleague so a fresh energy. Just the right amount to mail to deliver for the time, so a relaxed but focussed days work. Customers chatty today. Favourite comment was “ oh I hope your not going on strike”, confirming my feelings that the strike action is mainly inconveniencing us posties.

Today: The sunlight just disappearing on 2 Ipswich Rd: Fig leaf: Delivery office car park reflected in car.
A totally crazy day. So much mail, practically every call. We had our parcels taken off but still struggled to get done in time. Heads down hard walking with not much noticing time.
Difficult to keep moral up when we strike again tomorrow and so are set for more large, difficult delivering days Friday and Saturday.

Today: Bright morning light reflection off delivery office, Roundtree Way: Autumn colours and light, Thomas Wyatt Way: Light filled tree, Phillipa Flowerday Plain: Favourite foliage, Plantsman Close: Exquisite Autumnal leaf, Ipswich Rd.
Another beautiful autumn day, still, sunny and bright. Low sun illuminating trees and houses. Not too busy and far too lovely a day to feel stressed. An vexing moment collecting a mountain of parcels in Mount Pleasant having to rescan 23 parcels at least twice to find the rogue unscanned item.

Today: Foliage, Newmarket road: Foliage, Mount Pleasant: Foliage, Lime tree road.
Since rain returned so has green. Today my eye is caught by varieties of green, structural foliage and hints of red beginning. A cold morning, gloves needed. A typical Tuesday with increasing numbers of collections. Chatted to a customer in Harford Manor close who shared her story of kittens she has hand reared since they were three days old. Hats off to her.

Today: Caterpillar munched foliage: A puddle (welcome back my friends): Shadows on leaves.
It rained over night and I notice moments of wet in cracks and feel excited to find a puddle. Being a Postie make me love Mondays, as the mail is always lightest. We zip round, enjoying people being holiday home, the cloud cover and feeling fresh after a day off.

Today: Patterned leaf: Colourful bush: An vertical leaf in Church Avenue, it had fallen tip first and was improbably wedged standing upright.
A slight easing of the post bank holiday parcel deluge, still busy. Glorious sunny, my eyes are caught by leaf formations today.
