Out on Delivery: Mon 15 sep

A blustery autumnal day. I jump at the crack of falling conkers and lament the absence of excited small hands eager to pocket the treasure.

Noticing the changing colours and the fabulously berry saturated bushes. Autumn is always my favourite time of the year.

Following a cracking thunderstorm (the subject of much doorstep chatter today) the air is moist and warm. A really sticky, tropical feel to the delivery.

This ghostly rose campion catches my eye, as does this magnificent lavender bush which seems full of vigour after the nights soaking.

Happy when the delivery is finish, the heat is very tiring.

Out on Delivery: Tue 10 Jun

A cooler start that morphed into a gloriously sunny day.

Enjoying all the fragrant roses around the delivery – particularly these beautiful red blooms in Earlham Road. A fabulous purple clematis catches my eye in Havelock Road. Lots of barley lining the edges of the streets alongside poppies.

Out on Delivery: Tue 3 Jun

A blustery, lightly damp day delivering. After the recent, much needed, rain the flowers are lush and the green canopies abundantly full.

Poppy lined pavement edges, snagging roses bushes and stiff, plant choked, gates all along the delivery. Summer is here.

A light filled day, noticing the reflections from cars and through car windows and the way the light highlights foliage and flowers.

Dandelions as halos filled this garden in Gladstone Street.

Hot.

out on delivery: Wed 7 May

Another cooler, overcast day. Occasional spitty spatters of almost rain. In the flatter light the colours of the blooms really stood out from the green. Particularly struck by this delicate two toned honeysuckle in Earlham Road and these muscular orangey poppies.

Working with a chilled colleague Ellie, so a relaxing day’s work.

out on delivery: Tue 6 May

A cooler chilly post bank holiday day. Noticing all the bloomed filled bushes, by colour and by scent.

A full year since I started Walk 202, I remember being delighted to find this Californian Lilac in West Pottergate, as one of favourites from walk 206. Enjoying it again this year, such beautiful cascading delicate purple colour.

Many paths and gates becoming plant filled and having to duck/ dive and circumvent to avoid becoming ensnared.
