Today: cold and wet, colours of blossom bushes intensified by dark and damp.
My colleague is off sick and since we are so short staffed I am out delivering on my own. A mountain of mail, almost every call, I am out of the office late and struggle to deliver it all in time. Unable to prep the other walk so aware of the double work waiting tomorrow morning.
Today: A return to work after three days holiday. A sunny start to the day, noticing all the new pinks. I caught three reflections, in the lift in Royal Arch court, the lift in Alexandra court and in the corner mirror at the delivery office.
A temporary replacement van as our van is off for repairs after being in an altercation with a wall, whilst I was on holiday. I enjoy the smaller more manoeuvrable van and I am in a sunny mood all day.
A windy morning delivering. Debris strewn streets and falling branches. Heavier than usual for a Monday delivery, water bills and gardening catalogues bulking up the mail. Council tax letters arrival hanging over the week.
Today: 7am CWU meeting in Mattressman car park: Selfie in Royal arch court lift mirror.
An early morning union meeting, always amazing seeing all my colleagues gathered together. No defrosting of van needed this morning, which makes me happy. Still the day feels cold and I need a long hot bath to warm up after work.
Today: Westminster Bridge: Rally in Parliament Sq: Proud CWU members
Attended a rally in Parliament square, some rousing speakers, terrific banners and feelings of solidarity. A march up to Buckingham palace and a mad dash to a slow coach trip home.
