Out on Delivery: Sat 29 June

Another hot sunny day. An overwhelment of mail, election flyers and parcels. We do what we can, trying to let go of worrying that it is not enough.

These everlasting peas in Earlham road pop with colour.

Out on Delivery: Fri 21 Jun

A hot and sunny delivery day. Favourite moment was spotting these sinister car seats in Gladstone street.

Working with another new colleague, feel like we are permanently losing a battle and falling further and further behind.

Shadows strong and some grass already dried out and brown. Felt like summer.

Out on Delivery: Tue 28 May

A return to work after holiday, due to staff sickness the mail on my walk has not been delivered for a few days. Bags are very heavy and we have to use trolleys on most loops.

Gardens have changed in the week away, all glistening in the summer rain.

Out on Delivery: Wed 15 May

A wet, warm morning delivering. Snails are out climbing door and filling pathways. Warm enough to enjoy the brush of wet foliage as I go up pathways.

A larger Wednesday, but we get finished despite the rain.

Out on Delivery: Wed 8 May

A second post bank holiday delivery day, not quite full volumes and we manage to get all delivered.

Plentiful road closures and resurfacing works going on around the delivery, making some roads beautifully quiet and others unbearably busy.

The day started overcast but quickly became a gloriously sunny day.

Noticing the big bold blooms today.

Out on Delivery: Tue 7 May

The sun is out, the forecast good for the whole week. We have a longer day, due to the bank holiday and manage to complete the whole, walk.

An eye for all the beautiful pinks about, in Chester Place, Denbigh Road and Mill Hill Road.

The beginnings of road closures around the walk adding excitement.

Out on Delivery: Tue 30 Apr Wed 1 May

The sun emerged and the shadows came out to play.

A good, if busy couple of days delivering. Slightly embarrassed by accidentally catching my delivery bag on a customers wall in a tight pathway resulting in a section of wall falling over.

Apologised to the customer but they were, perhaps rightly, cross about the hassle of having to talk to Royal Mail through a central customer services number. Caught the flack for the aggravation of modern life.

Out on Delivery: Sat 27 April

These magnificent tulips were up on the high terrace I deliver to in Mill Hill Road – about 30 steps up but 5 calls all together.

A lighter Saturday, filled with some get done quick energy since heading out for a reunion later in the day.
