Out on Delivery: Wed 10 May

Today: Insect trails on a letterbox in Newmarket Road: Trees, Newmarket Road: Orange, Lime tree road: Delivery Montage featuring Suffolk Square.

A rather enjoyable day, we are finally starting to get a hold on the new delivery area and in how to tackle this larger delivery area. Delivering a multitude of internet hubs, apparently needing replacing due to a lightening strike.

Warm and humid, very comfortable for delivering in. No rain and the sun peaked its head out regularly to cheer us. A mountain of door to door mail to throw off and deliver (5 pieces) all happily in the frame by the end of today.

Out on Delivery: Fri 5 May

Today: Beautiful foliage, Newmarket Rd: Pinkest pink bush, The cedars: A random bit of ripped bag lining in s heart shape that appeared on my frame this morning.

Everyone is keen to share how busy it was yesterday (my day off) when I arrive into the office. The walk failed with tracked items returning as they ran out of time.

We aim to clear one frame and set all the rest in order. Another 10 specials for one o’clock. The morning moves well and we managed to deliver all but one tracked items.

Back into the van before it starts thundering.

Out on Delivery: Wed 3 May

Today: Sunlit trees, Benjamin Gooch Way: An alarming find, drive on Mount Pleasant: Orange Tulip, Lime tree road: Delivery Montage

A tangle of a morning trying to sort out how best to deliver to the new area with Kelly. Driving round in circles. A pacy second half delivering tracked items and 13 special deliveries. A final big loop on lower Newmarket Rd. Starting to get used to the new.

Springy spring !!

Out on Delivery: Sat 29 Apr

Today: The sun shone and all looked full, fresh, and majestic. Spring in all its glory.

Having worked super hard yesterday on the more difficult sections of the delivery today was easier. Enjoyed the company of a colleague Aiden for the third day, much laughter over what we might like to say to customers.

No longer delivering to Royal Arch Court in the new revisions, so no more selfies in the mirrored lift. Managed to catch a more enigmatic selfie in the hard core Suffolk Square lift, one of our new delivery areas.

Pleased that the week was over, been challenging managing all the new sorting and areas to deliver too, but also quite stimulating. Looking forward to becoming familiar with new favourite moments and sights.

Out on Delivery: Sat 15 Apr

Today: A damp start, spotted this beautiful snail making the most of the conditions. The sun came out later and put a spring in my step, spring is very firmly here now.

My last day before a weeks holiday, cleared the delivery frame before the chaos of all the changes coming in next week. Not sure how we will achieve the newer, larger walks but trying, and largely managing, to not worry.

Out on Delivery: Tue 11 Apr

Today: Strong sun and seductive shadows. One of my favourite times of the year. Back after the Easter break, worked hard to catch up with the undelivered from Saturday. Kelly away so worked with a different colleague Mark. Great to be back on the streets of NR2.

Out on Delivery: Tue 28 Mar

Today: cold and wet, colours of blossom bushes intensified by dark and damp.

My colleague is off sick and since we are so short staffed I am out delivering on my own. A mountain of mail, almost every call, I am out of the office late and struggle to deliver it all in time. Unable to prep the other walk so aware of the double work waiting tomorrow morning.
