Today: Poppies in Cambridge Street: Bus stop as I emerge from 97 Newmarket Road: Flowers The Cedars: My favourite set of flowers, they make me smile each time I arrive at this address in Lime tree road.

Walk 206: Saturday 4th June

Today: I enjoy the verdant velvet finish on this lampost: spotty leaves catch my eye: A self reflection selfie taken at Musley court.

A heavy day, plenty of parcels, magazines and mail. Ideal walking weather, but legs stiff after taking a run on thursday. Noticeably more people away than usual, I have to work hard to get neighbours to take in parcels.

Walk 206: 1/06/22

Today: Shadows of “Yorks” (Royal Mail cages/trolleys used to transport mail/packets/parcels) in the delivery office carpark: Just one of many daily photos of tracked items being delivered that I take: The remains of the magnificent Cedar tree that “The cedars” is named from, sadly severely damaged in the big storm in Feb.

An eerily quiet day out and about on delivery. Some thundery rain that we hoped to avoid caught us out. A good feeling finishing up with the two bank holiday days coming up. Sang our way back to the delivery office.

Today: Red roses peeked in a garden in Mount Pleasant: Purple blooms at The Cedars: A lavender bush in an urn outside the Annesley Hotel: A shiney knob self reflection, taken as I wait for a customer.

Day started sunny, but within 10 mins of my putting on my new Royal Mail sunhat the Sun disappeared. More mail than usual for a Saturday. An onwards and onwards day.

Walk 206: Friday 27th May

Today: The roof of City College glowing in the sun: dancing shadows on the Van: roses that co-ordinate with the gate on Newmarket Road: orange tulips: beautiful roses at the cedars.

A sunny happy day’s delivering, managed to catch the ice cream van on Mousehold Heath on the way back to the DO. A 99 flake totally hit the spot. Love my job on days like this.

Shadow of clip on my parcel delivery notebook; door shadow at the flats on benjamin gooch way; foliage shadow, christchurch road; geometric handrail shadows, plantsmans close.

Walk 206:

Today, a sunny delivery: the sun catching bluebells on a meadow like lawn in Church Avenue East: A favourite purple flowering bush on Newmarket road; some new graffiti lower down on Newmarket road.

A morning walk 31/05

A gift of a morning, clear, clean light. A walk to and around Trowse meadows, noticing the lush scenery, meadow flowers, river reflections and myself as an angel.

A morning walk 29/05

A pilgrimage to family graves, a beach walk and an urban walk to a still standing great great grandparent’s house in Irvine, Ayrshire. Clouds rolled in from the Isle of Skye whilst we shared reminiscences of summer holidays spent here. A meloncholic, once was, walk.
