A cooler, easier day. All passes without drama.

A post bank holiday return, less mail and more delivery time. Work with a colleague James who knows the walk and we manage to get all delivered, feels good.
A week of sunshine promised, today doesn’t disappoint.

Another muggy hot sweaty day delivering. Three in the van, we got it all delivered in a slick of sweat.
Air totally still, possibly the most uncomfortable day delivering of the year.
Blooms glowing and shadows abound.

Another hot day, forecast cooler but unrelentingly sunny.
Sunlight is hard edged. As we finish my sun addled mind starts feeling confused, restored quickly by a corner shop ice chilled lemonade.

After finishing yesterday’s delivery cold and wet today started with full sunshine. The sun hat was back out the bag.
We had double mail to delivery, as I had covered both walks on Tuesday, so heavy bags and plenty of walking.
These poppies on Stafford Street stood out, I love their scruff happenstance energy and their delicate vulnerability.

A sunny lighter delivery day so a little space inside it to enjoy noticing all the summer blooms popping with colour. Fairly warm but a fresh gentle breeze keeps the day perfect for delivering mail.
No selfie in lift as I meet an ex postie, Tom, now DPD delivery guy in the lift and have a quick chat.

After heavy rain over night the early morning street are strewn with slugs and snails. Slugmageddon up Stafford st, with many poor creatures squashed and smashed. Drama increased by a series of red dots sprayed on the pavement by each gateway.
Opening a door in West Pottergate I am caught by the golden glow of a slug on the glass.
A good morning, we are only 15 mins short of completing both walks.

Another day where despite occasional slight light drizzle we manage to avoid any serious rain. Playing catch up with double mail on walk 202 but manage to deliver all we brought out.
